As a start why don't I kick off with news of an influx of redwings and fieldfares yesterday. I was at Swaddywell Pit at 8am and saw several mixed flocks of these winter thrushes - migrants from central and northern Europe. In total there were about 175 fieldfare and 75 redwing.
