Bainton Heath

A short walk around our nature reserve at Bainton Heath this morning (please note there is no public access to this site).

Four singing nightingale, a cuckoo calling across the nearby pits and a hobby flying overhead were the highlights. A turtle dove was purring away in the scrub.

Also singing chiff-chaff, willow warbler, whitethroat, lesser whitethroat and garden warbler.

An my first Cinnabar moth of the year.
