A glorious morning today, although again ridiculously mild for December.
There was a flock of 140 linnets noisily bathing in puddles at Swaddywell. This is the largest flock I have recorded there - great to see them in such good numbers. The linnet is a fairly non-descript bird visually, but a flock of these birds is always full of life and noise, obviously lots of chat going on.
Also 3 bullfinch at Castor Hanglands and a red kite and sparrowhawk over Helpston riding school.
