The snow continues - wonder when they will treat our local roads?? But it does look beautiful.
One of the features of Swaddywell in the snow is the sheer number of animal tracks that you can see - it must be a real party there at night, there is so much going on. The most frequently found track is, not surprisingly, rabbit. But there are also plenty of badger tracks and the odd fox as well as deer and smaller tracks which are probably rat and possibly stoat.
Henry and I wandered around the Hanglands this morning (22 December) after another covering of light snow overnight. There was virtually nothing to see or hear, apart from the ubiquitous piping of the bullfinch and a few blackbirds and the odd jay. Oh and some very hungry Hebridean Sheep, waiting for their daily meal of sugar beet and pellets.
