Ringing Report from Chris Hughes

Another good session with plenty of juvs around (4 of the juv Reed Warblers were caught on the heath where they were presumably feeding) and another juv Nightingale ringed. Great to retrap (again) the Nightingale ringed as a tiny juv on 12 June. Soon be off to Africa hopefully.

Linnets are having an incredible year. Some years none are around at all but this year is the best ever with 17 ringed so far. Also, the 3 Goldfinches were a real surprise as the last one ringed was in 2007 (just 1 that year) with a handful 2 years prior to that.
