Tree Sparrows

Just to add to Trevor's report about tree sparrows in his garden, there is a small flock this year at Swaddywell, regularly using the bird feeders there. Remember this bird suffered a 90% reduction in numbers in the 1990s, but is recovering well locally. Helpson is one of its Peterborough strongholds with flocks of over 100 there last year! I even had 45 in my garden one winter's day a couple of years ago.

And here's a picture of one!
