Well not really but at least today I saw some dragonflies both at Etton Maxey and in my garden. There were banded demoiselle, emperor, blue tailed and common blue damselflies on Maxey Cut and broad bodied chaser, red damselfly and common blue damselfly in my garden.
There were also two green sandpiper at Etton Maxey this morning. I found one tern chick on the new raft, but couldn’t see any chicks on the old raft – there were at least two there last weekend – hope they were hiding or just out of sight. Certainly there were six adults in the air, giving me a very hard time as I sat on the bench. Also about a dozen lapwing on site, plus a family of shelduck.
