Forgot to mention this in yesterday’s blog-post. I found a couple of these lovely micro moths in the reeds fringing the large ditch in the south-west corner of the reserve.
This morning I was at Bainton Pits, which was alive with blue damselflies. Sadly I am not expert enough to distinguish between common, variable and azure, but there were certainly lots of them as well as singing garden warbler and blackcap, pyramidal orchids and common toadflax and some pretty wild strawberries.
