
Having walked round Bainton Heath reserve on the Langdyke Trust nightingale walk, and searching for morels in the company of a fungus expert, I found this one in a flower border in our lane in West Deeping.
They are supposed to be edible, but at this size it was dry and papery. Possibly Morchella esculenta var. umbrina. If you Google morels you'll find lots of hilarious accounts of morel hunting, and recipes.
