Black Rabbit And More Migrants

Well I for one have never seen a totally black rabbit before, but there was one on the bank of the maxey cut this evening!

Alongside this interesting phenomenon, there was plenty to see and hear anyway of a less exotic nature. There were plenty of sand martins over the Martin Pit, with several exploring nest holes on the southern face. Also here there were four yellow wagtails, 2 (or possibly three) green sandpiper and three little ringed plover, including a mating pair.
At Etton-Maxey: displaying lapwing, redshank, 2 ringed plover and 6 shelduck.
And finally, a willow warbler, my first of the spring was singing along the Cut, east of the Carp Pond.
