Nightingale

There was a single nightingale singing rather weakly at the Hanglands this evening, 14 April - the earliest I have recorded them there. There were also three grasshopper warbler singing too - all in new plantations south of the forest access track; the nightingale was singing to the north. I found my first singing grasshopper warbler on Monday, 12 April.
